Application Process

While the EMT-Basic Initial Education Course Is offered at the UMass Amherst campus by UMass EMS, sign-ups for the course are open to the public, and as such require an application. You can not enroll In the class on Spire, you must submit an application. The application will open In early August. Please note that there Is a cost associated with taking the class.

Class Duration

The class Is scheduled to run from October-April, meeting Tuesday/Thursdays 1800-2200, with occasional Saturday classes. The class will not meet over the UMass Amherst Winter Break.
