The following will be required for promotion to non-probationary member:
Be prepared to complete Probie Sheet.
The patient contact evaluation and shift check ins must be completed by the probationary member to achieve non probationary status.
HOWEVER, you may take the written and practical examinations prior to full completion of the probie sheet. The probie sheet must be completed BEFORE OR WITHIN the same semester as passing written or practical examinations; if you pass all promotion exams and do not successfully complete the sheet before the end of semester, exams must be taken again the following semester.

Promotion Class:
Apply HERE to take the written exam. NEXT WRITTEN EXAM DATE - 2/9/26
Written Exam. Applicants must score a minimum of 80% to pass.
Practical Exam IF written is passed. Typically within a week of written exam. Members will be evaluated on various hands-on skills.
If passed, attend the 1 hour Promotion Orientation with the PTL.
Interview
Lastly, a Probationary Member will request via email to the Director of Administration once both exams are passed AND probie sheet is completed. The Probationary Member will then be interviewed by no less than two UMEMS Directors in order to establish their eligibility for promotion.
The Promotion Training Leader will hold no more than three promotion classes a semester.
